Hm, I said I was going to do a guitar cover video this weekend but that would actually require effort; now that I think about, there’s a lot of work that goes into that kind of thing (having done a few before). I don’t really have the patience for it, especially for this song, whose master recording has very precise pick attack. My video would be sloppy by comparison no matter how long I practiced (and trust me, I practiced).
So I uploaded the tab now. I already spent a large chunk of time tabbing and translating this song, so I’m calling it done. I translated the lyrics a two days ago (but the time stamp says yesterday since it was uploaded in the early morning?) here.
I tweeted about it, but yuyoyuppe has really come a long way. When you compare the purposeful use of accidentals in this song and say, Mad answer, it seems there’s a big difference. In Mad answer, you have that jarring C# chord at ~0:20, but in Planetary suicide (which is in c minor) he throws that same C# around and it just feels so right.
Just goes to show you need to know the rules before you can break them, I guess.
