Finally, some more N.H.F, yeah? The lyrics in the booklet are wrong; I’ve listed the correct lyrics below but here is what is in the booklet (in place of the final chorus):
そうやって目を背けては
いつも答えを諦めて
自暴自棄という殻に閉じこもる
触れてほしくないこの時間に
答えはないそう信じていた僕に
無残な回答を叩きつけた偶像の生を
崩壊した愛を
ショートした回路
終わる世界を
As you can see, it’s mostly the same, except instead of “it’s not the end” it’s “there’s no answer,” and the final line is changed to “stuck with a cruel reply.” The number of consonants is the same, so just consider it an alternate set of lyrics, I guess. Then it repeats the screamed section again…?
Anyway, 叩きつける is “to strike; to throw; to slap something onto” so interpret that as you will. “Stuck” just seemed the easiest way to express something that was just quickly handed off with no real consent, which is how I’m interpreting that line.
This translation is pretty literal; I didn’t put too much time into localizing it or smoothing
